Know God More

This poem reflects my journey over the years to know God more…to get into His word…to be aware of His presence…to get a much better (and simpler) understanding of faith.

Oh what a journey it has been, and as I look back, I can now see clearly how He was watching over me each step of the way.

I’m thankful for His patience with me as I’ve relearned so many elements of faith.

“Know God More“

I search for the Lord with all my heart,
Reading His Word is where I do start,
Yearning to know Him more each new day,
A fear of the Lord is now what I pray.

Earnest I toil while seeking His truth,
Sad that I wasted so much of my youth,
I see now clearly, the choice is all mine,
To go where He leads me, to Him align.

I find His treasures in revelation,
I simply submit to gain salvation,
His way is narrow but still open to all,
If we just listen and then heed His call.

I know He’s smiling as I tarry on,
Listening, learning, while hearing His Son,
Walking with purpose as He takes the lead,
Filled with more knowledge, He knows I need.
