My Rock

In a world with so much hysteria and uncertainty, we can step forth with trust and confidence, knowing we have refuge and strength in our Rock, knowing we have the certainty in Jesus that we long for, and knowing that God is with us and for us in whatever we may face:

“My Rock”

He is my rock, my strength, my song,
within His fortress I belong,
I find my rest in His embrace,
so thankful for sufficient grace.

His faithfulness helps me stand strong,
He promises I need not long
for anything to meet my needs,
for through His Word my soul He feeds.

He’s holding me with His firm hand,
with His strong grasp I boldly stand,
and then step forth with renewed peace,
my fears from weakness I release.

He promises He’s by my side,
I yield to Him and douse my pride,
I let Him lead me, come what may,
my eyes on Him who does not sway.

Nothing on earth can shake my trust,
I’m in His care and He is just,
mercy and grace and love so pure,
He is my rock, steadfast and sure.

Trust…release…receive…the pathway to peace and comfort that comes from the Lord.
