Raging Fire
I yearn for those moments when I feel God’s presence…reminding me He’s near…encouraging me to trust Him even more.
We hear about God’s presence in Exodus 24:17, “the awesome sight: the glory of the Lord…like a raging fire.”
I love that description…a raging fire…and even though I typically feel His presence much more subtly than that, it serves as both affirmation and inspiration to me for how the Lord may make His presence known:
“Raging Fire”
My needs are great, my fears are high,
I raise my hands, look to the sky,
I share with You, how weak I feel,
Believing You will be revealed.
Your glory shows, a raging fire,
I hear it clear, Your heavenly choir,
I quickly drop down to my knees,
In honor of Your majesty.
You ask me to believe in You,
To trust You now for what You’ll do,
Within the fire I see Your face,
And feel the warmth of Your embrace.
I stand back up with confidence,
I’m trusting in Your providence,
I find new strength in all I see,
Your raging fire burns in me.

In each encounter, God invites us to step closer.
As we draw near to Him, His glory transforms us…uplifting us, reviving us, strengthening us.
That’s when we can rise with confidence and move forward in faith.
What a blessing it is to be close to Him…refined and not consumed.
So grateful.
