Wonderfully Made
I have a battle going on inside me – that battle between my feelings of inadequacy (not wise enough, not strong enough, not good enough) and the Lord’s promises of being with me and for me (it’s His wisdom, His strength, and His view of my worthiness).
Some days that battle is much more intense than others.
And thinking of that battle led to this:
“Wonderfully Made”
I wonder if I’m wise enough,
To make right choices today,
I fail You, Lord, so many times,
Yet You still make a way.
I wonder if I’m strong enough,
To meet the challenge that comes,
To step forth now through my distress,
With faith that never succumbs.
I wonder if I’m good enough,
To deserve Your love for me,
You’ve asked me to accept Your grace,
Given unconditionally.
You tell me that indeed I am
Wise, strong, and good enough,
I’m wonderfully made by You, dear Lord,
Perfected through Your love.
I’ll step forth now with confidence,
I’m not in this alone,
All that I’ll face, You’ll be with me,
I’ll make Your glory known.

It’s inevitable that when I break contact with the Lord and listen to the shouting of the enemy or the noise of this world, those feelings of inadequacy will run rampant.
But when I pause, pray, praise, and tune in to the Lord, His words break through and implant in me, and then with trust in Him, I move forward with confidence in both my worthiness and my readiness for the challenge ahead.
I need this reminder all the time.
I hope this helps you too!
Stan
