Seeking Wisdom

I think at times we all focus on wisdom.

Wisdom that’s more valuable than gold.

Wisdom that transcends the issues and attitudes of the world and comes from the Lord.

And then listening to what is received and letting it guide us:

“Seeking Wisdom”

In current times with such extremes
I seek the truth amid my dreams
I’m drawn back in, to the Good Book
To search His Word that’s where I look.

Be quick to listen, slow to speak,
Cries out to me, as truth I seek,
I need that now to help me stand
Up to the crowd with His strong hand.

I hold my tongue and listen close,
His words come through as guiding prose,
Trust in the Lord with all my heart,
Acknowledge Him and stand apart.

I heed His wisdom all so pure,
With Him with me I will endure,
With confidence I let Him lead,
He’s promised to meet every need.

There’s comfort in knowing that when we set our minds on things above and not on things of this world, then we have access to knowledge and understanding that comes from He who has overcome the world.

So thankful for that!
