Threats

Challenges come in many forms, and we feel threatened in lots of ways.

We can find comfort though in knowing that God is with us, for us, and will not fail us, and He is greater than anything that will ever come against us.

In trusting through the threats and depending on God’s protection and provision, our faith grows and our awareness of Him expands.

“Threats“

My enemies just sit right there,
Knowing my fear is now laid bare,
Waiting for me to take them on,
I close my eyes and want them gone.

Then God’s still voice breaks through the fear,
Reminds me that He too is here,
The threat they pose, no match for Him,
My hope is filled back to the brim.

I look up now, my strength renewed,
I raise my praise in gratitude,
I see the threat through God’s keen eyes,
The enemy’s brought down to size.

These threats can serve to build my faith,
When in each moment I now pray,
No threat upon me will succeed,
When with His strength I now proceed.
