Generously

Last week I focused on legacy…shining God’s light and sharing His love…and this week I’m focused on God’s promise to generously provide all that we need to live out the legacy He desires for each of us.

When I think of that promise, I’m deeply grateful…for His provision, His protection, His promises, His presence, His pardon, His peace, and so much more…all given generously…exactly what is needed and when needed to fulfill His purpose and plan for our lives and have that legacy:

“Generously”

I sense the Lord is waiting to see,
if I realize how generously
He has provided all that I need
to confidently now proceed
with all He has for me to do,
sharing His love with others who
might now need a blessing or two,
for them to also make it through.

…He has been generous…

I raise my hands in praise to Him,
so thankful for the peace within,
which comes from knowing that I’m blessed,
with all I need to give my best
in service to our Lord above,
to shine His light and spread His love,
so others too can know Him more,
and through His grace then be restored.

…I’m filled with gratitude…

I know the Lord’s been good to me,
He’s blessed me so abundantly,
spiritually and emotionally,
and with each breath, physically;
I’m fully equipped to do His will,
to serve others with my heart still,
fully trusting that the Lord’s with me,
always providing generously.

God’s generosity is meant to flow through us to others as we trust Him for all we need.  As we receive it, we can step forward in confidence to do His will.

His ask of us is clear – to be grateful for all that He gives and to be good stewards of what He provides – but He knows our humanness and meets us with grace.

May we never take His generosity or His grace for granted.
