All Is Yours

The enormity and complexity of this amazing and frustrating world can be overwhelming.

I felt that way when looking down at the cities on a flight.

But one of the many cool things about faith is that the enormity and complexity of this world turns into intimacy and simplicity when we believe that all in this world belongs to the Lord and then trust in God’s purpose and plan for us as part of this world.

“All Is Yours“

The earth is Yours, Lord, and everything in it,
We are part of all You’ve made,
Through You we were granted a divine breath of life,
With a path and plan that You laid.

We’re made in Your image to worship and serve,
You smile when we walk in Your way,
Your mercy and grace always welcome us home,
When we inevitably stray.

You gave us free will to choose our own paths,
And You grieve over all of our sin,
But the choice we must make is submit and obey,
Through Your love then our new lives begin.

It’s all about You, Lord, in this crazy world,
Through You we have faith, hope, and love,
You are faithful always even when we are not,
And keep nurturing us from above.

I’m yielding to You, Lord, as I journey on,
Seeing Your presence everywhere,
Knowing that all that I have is from You,
To You now my heart is laid bare.
