Uncertainty

For many of us, faith can seem situational. We feel strong and confident in faith in those times where things are going good, and then we are overcome with fear and doubt when adversity strikes.

Though anxiety and fear can paralyze us in times of uncertainty and test our faith, it’s through trusting and releasing that we can move forward with peace, strengthening our faith and renewing our hope.

“Uncertainty“

In uncertain times when days seem so long,
I pause due to doubt, it’s hard to be strong,
It’s then that the fear can paralyze me,
And lead me to places I don’t want to be.

It’s on knees in prayer that I find His peace,
And feeling His love, I then can release,
Those burdens I carry from uncertainty,
Fully believing He’s walking with me.

He’s reached out His hand for me to hold tight,
To remind me that I’m not alone in this fight,
My hope is renewed as I feel His embrace,
My confidence grows with His loving grace.

I trust in the Lord to show me the way,
I focus on Him and then do not stray,
When facing tough choices and uncertain fate,
I lean on His strength and my fears abate.
