Forgiveness
The Bible tells us that God’s love is immeasurable, and there’s no better example of that than His forgiveness to me the countless times I’ve fallen short and failed Him. He welcomed me back each time, and He wrapped me in His love to purge me of the guilt and shame.
His forgiveness is undeserved, and yet, He lovingly continues to provide it:
“Forgiveness”
I fall short, am less than faithful,
succumb to idols, feel so shameful,
I yield to self, and go my way,
Your love for me, though, does not sway.
I’m on my knees, confess my sins,
Your mercy flows, my guilt rescinds,
You bring me close in Your embrace,
and wrap me in Your boundless grace.
As high as heaven’s above the earth,
so great’s Your love, defines my worth,
You gave Your Son to ransom me,
with faith in Him I am made free.
As far as east is from the west,
my sin’s removed so I can rest,
I now can feel Your love for me,
with no more shame, I’m whole in Thee.

His love for me is hard to understand with all the things I do to rebel and resist.
But incredibly, He loves me anyway.
I’m so thankful for His love and forgiveness.
