Foundation

I love the ultimate stability and certainty we have through faith that anchors us in all situations as we continue building on the solid foundation He provides.

For me, the building blocks of faith include trust, dependence, hope, love, perseverance, and more, all grounded on His words and reinforced in the examples we’ve been blessed to have in the Scriptures.

I’m grateful for the firm foundation He provides, allowing us to weather the storms and grow even stronger in faith through it all.

“Foundation“

As I look out, all I can see,
More of the same, more misery,
The hardships grow, no peace is found,
I have no hope of a rebound,
I seek some help through worldly means,
But that turns out to be just schemes,
That pull me deeper in despair,
I’m feeling I’m beyond repair.

But I remember words You said,
How You’d provide my daily bread,
How You designed all of creation,
How You’ll provide a firm foundation,
How with Your strength and with Your grace,
I can rebuild and with You face,
Whatever may then confront me,
For You’ll be my security.

I’m building now on You, my Rock,
I’m using divine building blocks,
I’m anchored on Your love for me,
The ultimate stability,
As threats arise, I will not fear,
Through all the storms, it’s You I’ll hear,
Reminding me they won’t last long,
Your firm foundation will stand strong.
