Highway of Holiness

As I think about my journey to know God more, I’m reminded of the opportunity we are given to travel that road less traveled, the Highway of Holiness.  It’s a road that is paved with God’s mercy and grace, and a journey that is fueled by our faith and obedience.  It’s a journey that’s not without obstacles or challenge but one filled with growth and joy.

So thankful for what I’m learning on this journey, which was enriched when seeing this photo, which fit so perfectly with the verse and inspired the poem that follows:

“Highway of Holiness”

Lead me to You on Your highway of holiness,
a road for the righteous and redeemed
that runs through our manmade wastelands and wilderness,
which leads to Your city that gleams.

You lovingly guide me and show me the way,
each step gets me closer to You,
You remove any obstacles that try to delay
my soul in Your presence renewed.

I travel now boldly spurred on by Your love,
with focus on You I don’t roam,
I’m wrapped in the peace that comes from above,
Your highway of holiness brings me home.

The Highway of Holiness is a path of hope and deliverance available to all who faithfully believe.

In our world with so much disruption, congestion, and confusion, it’s so awesome to know there’s a road that’s straight and true.
