My Needs
I’ve been thinking about the active nature of faith, and how faith is emboldened through a desire to know God more and yield to His will.
That got me thinking about our needs, and His clear direction to ask, seek, and find, but to do that with a yielding and yearning heart, fully trusting in Him:
“My Needs”
I pause and look up, I’m sensing You’re near,
My prayers are then raised, I’m hoping You’ll hear,
I’m seeking Your help, in my hour of need,
Please open the door, I faithfully plead.
Knowing You’re for me and never will fail me,
Trusting Your promise of strength to the weary,
Desperately needing the rest that You give,
Dependent on You for the life that I live.
Releasing to You all the burdens I carry,
At the foot of the cross, is where I will bury,
Those things that have kept me from feeling Your love,
Then peace like a river can flow from above.
I asked and then sought as You said that I should,
You met all my needs as You promised You would,
I see now so clearly the door open to You,
Just waiting for me to trust and walk through.

I’m thankful for the peace that flows in anticipation and expectation of my needs being met when I step forth in faith.
Blessings to you!
Stan
