Nothing Is Impossible

I’ve been thinking back to those times in my life when hope and prayer were all that was left…when my situation made positive outcomes seem impossible.

In each of those times, I remember that moment when something unexpected and sometimes unexplainable happened, allowing that positive outcome to actually then occur.

The impossible became possible with no specific actions by me, and since I don’t believe in coincidence, I can only attribute the events and outcomes to divine intervention.

I tried to capture that thinking and my thankfulness in this:

“Nothing Is Impossible”

I’m looking up, steep hills to climb,
With burdens great and not much time,
I bow my head and share my pain,
The tears now fall but hope remains.

I seek the Lord and feel him near,
With trust in Him, I know He’ll hear,
My desperate plea for His great grace,
To be with me now in this place.

I’m overcome with a new peace,
It’s to the Lord I now release,
My doubts and fears which burdened me,
I’m strengthened now and am set free.

My heart is still, I hear His voice,
My arms are raised, I now rejoice,
The path that seemed impassible,
With God all things are possible.

In those daunting moments, we can find comfort and confidence in knowing it’s not about what we can do, but it’s about what our faithful God can do, who is with us, for us, and will not fail us.

So thankful that it’s not about me, but about the Lord with me in each moment.
