Only

Many times, when we look forward, we only see limits as to what can be achieved.

God wants us to see things differently, not from our limits, but from His vast resource.

Perceived limits give us opportunities to trust the Lord even more.

Every challenge that we face gives us the opportunity to see beyond our own strength and capabilities and trust that the Lord with us and for us can make anything possible.

“Only“

For us the stop sign says “ONLY”,
It’s only limits we can see,
Things we can’t do, don’t have enough,
As we consider our own stuff;
We hesitate, seem paralyzed,
We don’t see things through God’s keen eyes,
We’re skeptical, throw up our hands,
We toss aside, God’s divine plans.

While stopped we sense we should release,
Our view of ‘only’ to find peace,
We feel His presence, then let go,
And as we rest, we get to know
When we see limits, heaven laughs,
We’ve got enough in what we have,
For God provides abundantly,
There’s so much more than what we see.

As long as we are in God’s will,
“Only” can then be such a thrill,
Through faith “only” is multiplied,
To even more than justified,
For God provides all that we need,
With His support we can proceed,
With dependence, “only” will be,
An act of faith for all to see.
