Generously
Last week I focused on legacy…shining God’s light and sharing His love…and this week I’m focused on God’s promise to generously provide all that we need to live out the legacy He desires for each of us. When I think of that promise, I’m deeply grateful…for His provision, His protection, His promises, His presence, His…

Keep On Praying
One of the many things that I’m in awe about is how an omniscient and omnipresent Creator and God can care about me, wanting me to stay in contact and constant communication with Him. And He cared enough to both give us instruction and give us a Helper! He wants us to stay connected to…

Hearing

The Creative Process
Each poem starts with an inspiration – could be a photo that triggers a thought, a thought that then matches to a photo, or a yearning from Scripture that then results in the pursuit of a photo that matches with it. Almost all result in deeper discovery about the precept of faith that emerges from the photo or thought.
Many of the core elements of faith end up in multiple inspirations and thus multiple poems as a result.
All of the poems are drafted and then set aside, and when I return to them, the inspiration from the beginning is either affirmed and the poem then finalized, or I’ll make significant edits based on where the Spirit leads me in that revisit.
I get great joy in the creation process, and I smile when I feel like the poem captures the thought put on my heart in the exact way I felt inspired with it.
That’s not always the case, but I love it when it happens that way!
