Seek & Find

I’ve spent much of life just seeing and responding, stepping forward quickly based on my own understanding. And I do that fully knowing that the Lord wants me to seek and find Him in those moments, and to bring Him into each of my situations.

This poem is about doing what the Lord wants me to do – to seek and find Him – to listen and respond to Him – to prioritize Him in each moment of my life:

“Seek & Find”

In the quiet of each morning
With excitement fresh and new
I pause, pray, praise, and listen close
Your guidance I pursue.

Your still small voice can then be heard
You’re right here by my side
And leading me to Your embrace
Your truth will be my guide.

So thankful that You’re with me now
In everything I do
My heart now yearns to know you more
I give it all to You.

I march on now with faith and trust
For in Your love, I’m freed
To seek and find the peace you give
When all to You I cede.

I’m no longer surprised when I seek and find and the Lord puts something on my heart that He encourages me to think through with Him.

And I smile then when I do what I know the Lord wants me to do!
