Trusting In You

I’m inspired by those who I know that are suffering or struggling, and yet they anchor down even harder on their faith – trusting, hoping, and waiting on the Lord. Their resilience and faithfulness in the highs and the lows are a great example for me of how God wants His children to approach our lives – the goods and the not-so-goods.

I’m so thankful for the examples provided by others!

“Trusting In You”

I cried out to You in the midst of my pain,
Knowing You’re there, but feeling so distant,
Your voice brought me close, with this quiet refrain,
“Cease striving and know, My grace is sufficient.”

I pondered Your words, confronting my stress,
Mapping them back to times in my story,
When You clearly stepped in to bring needed rest,
I’m praising You now, giving You all the glory.

You’re the light in my dark, much needed relief,
Calm for my heart, piercing moments of peace,
Nurturing me during my anger and grief,
Strengthening me when I faithfully release.

I’m moving forward again with hope-filled steps,
Acknowledging you to keep my paths straight,
I don’t really know what may happen next,
But I’m trusting in You and in You I will wait.
