  • He Delivers Me

    He Delivers Me

Storms are inevitable in life…both literally and figuratively…and the storms that hit us personally and professionally give us an opportunity to grow our faith, to trust even more, to depend even more, and to ultimately release even more. Finding peace in the midst of our storms is a gift we’re given in faith! “He Delivers…

  • In Each Moment

    In Each Moment

Simple prayers like this allow me to tune into His presence and tune out the increasing noise of the world. And it’s in these moments when I am tuning in that I remember His promises and experience His peace. My quest – tuning in and trusting even more. In each moment! “In Each Moment” In…

Draw Me Close to You, Lord

In the busyness of each day, I need those divine reminders to call on Him, to bring Him into each moment, and to trust Him for whatever this next step might be. Awe and gratitude seem to be those things that let me focus properly on His presence and His promises. It’s in those moments…

The Creative Process

Each poem starts with an inspiration – could be a photo that triggers a thought, a thought that then matches to a photo, or a yearning from Scripture that then results in the pursuit of a photo that matches with it. Almost all result in deeper discovery about the precept of faith that emerges from the photo or thought.

Many of the core elements of faith end up in multiple inspirations and thus multiple poems as a result.

All of the poems are drafted and then set aside, and when I return to them, the inspiration from the beginning is either affirmed and the poem then finalized, or I’ll make significant edits based on where the Spirit leads me in that revisit.

I get great joy in the creation process, and I smile when I feel like the poem captures the thought put on my heart in the exact way I felt inspired with it.

That’s not always the case, but I love it when it happens that way!
